A great part of the day was the opportunity it afforded for dog lovers to meet other dog lovers, and for dogs to meet dogs.

Some of those meetings were cute in their own way, such as when the beautiful full-sized poodle met face to face with a pug about one-tenth her size.  Although they had similar markings, they were about as different as they could be.
