[October 09, 2012]  BLOOMINGTON -- The Lincoln Christian University women's volleyball team came up short to both North Central College (1-3) and Illinois Wesleyan University (2-3) on Saturday. The Red Lions were coming off two vital wins against Eureka College and Augustana College on Friday but were unable to carry the momentum into Saturday.

Sophomore Alicia Carson and Senior Krystine Schnautz continued to lead the Red Lions in kills, supplying 25 of the team's 37 against North Central. Freshman Taylor Cremeens recorded 17 sets during the opening match.

Schnautz later pounded out 26 kills and 25 digs against Illinois Wesleyan. Carson recorded another 20 kills, while Cremeens supplied 29 sets.

No. 3 LCU (13-8) is currently ranked in the top 10 in attacking percentage, block average and kill average. Sophomore Emma Donnelly is second in the NCCAA Division II for digs per game.

The Red Lions look to get back on track when they travel to Eureka College on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match in Eureka.
