[October 11, 2012]  This weekend the Lincoln Community High School Theatre Department will present the fall play "Lend Me a Tenor," by Ken Ludwig.

The play centers around a fictional world-famous tenor, Tito Merelli, who arrives at the tiny opera house in Cleveland. The producers of the show are thrilled that he agreed to come and put Cleveland on the map, but as he arrives with his diva wife, he unintentionally takes too many pills to help him relax, making the producers assume he has died. In order to have the show go on, an assistant dresses up as "Il Stupendo" and hits the stage, just as the real tenor awakes from his slumber, unaware that he now has a twin running around. Comedy and farce ensue.

"Lend Me a Tenor," a play with a musical flair, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday.
