James Earl Kirk, 65, of Lincoln, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at
Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Lincoln- James Earl Kirk, 65, a lifelong resident of
Lincoln died peacefully, Sunday, October 7, 2012 at
Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Jim was born on May 5, 1947 in Lincoln the son of
Henry Kirk and Evelyn Young Kirk Knowles.
He is survived by his sister: Joan Lewis of Lincoln;
brothers; Howard (Barbara) Kirk of Lincoln, John
Kirk of Mississippi; and Frank Kirk of Minnesota;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters:
Mary Catherine Turner and Evelyn Doyle.
He retired from Community Action in 2004.
James will be cremated and a memorial service will
be held at a later date.
Burial will be in New Union cemetery.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
