Illinois country grain prices were
lower on Monday afternoon, with soybeans and corn sharply lower.
Speculator and fund selling at the
Board of Trade pushed soybean futures lower.
Weekly export inspection figures
were very good for soybeans at 57.8 million bushels, with corn
at 17.2 million bushels and wheat at only 7 million bushels.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 12 to 15 cents lower at 7.13-7.31.
Soybean bids were 30 to 31 cents
lower at 14.60-14.72.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 15 cents lower at 7.26-7.41.
Soybean bids were 30 cents lower
at
14.74-14.84.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 16
cents lower at 7.32-7.49.
Soybean bids were 29 to 32 cents
lower at 14.68-14.94.
Wheat bids were mostly 5 to 9
cents lower at 8.11-8.33.
