[October 17, 2012]  ATLANTA -- Robert L. Anderson, 79, of Atlanta, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at 3:09 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Atlanta- Robert L. Anderson, 79, of Atlanta passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 3:09 p.m. at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Funeral Services for Mr. Anderson will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Quiram Peasley Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Bazen officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral.

Burial will be in Bluegrass Cemetery in rural Atlanta. Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post # 672 of Middletown.

Surviving are his children: Janice (Curtis) Lindholm, Connie (Gene) Sherrer, Betty (Carl) Havens, Thomas (Deb) Anderson, Richard (Candy) Anderson. Fourteen Grandchildren, several Great Grandchildren.

Also surviving are his siblings: Abraham "Bud" Anderson, Elsie Tibbs, Maryetta Rogers, Flora Tibbs.

He was preceded in death by his two wives and three brothers.

Robert Lincoln Anderson was born on October 17, 1932 in Middletown the son of William Edward and Helen E. Rogers Anderson Sr.

He first married Mary Catherine Brown. She preceded him in death. He married Norma Jean Romans on January 27, 1962. She preceded him in death on November 30, 2002.

Funeral Director

Bob graduated from the Middletown High School in 1950. He then served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of American Legion Post # 672 in Middletown.

He was employed at Vernon Apel Farms and Stetson's China Factory in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to the Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
