Lady Eagles win over West Lincoln-Broadwell

[October 18, 2012]  The Zion Lutheran School Lady Eagles eighth-grade basketball team defeated the Wolverines of West Lincoln-Broadwell on Monday by the score of 28-26.

Brooklyn Hermes was the leading scorer for Zion with 12 points. Other scorers for the Lady Eagles were Anna Sielaff with nine, Hailie Williams with four and Katie Hunsley with three.

The Lady Eagles led 26-20 going into the final quarter and were held to only two free throws, winning by just a two-point margin.

Leading scores for WL-B were Kalyn Froebe with nine and Kennedy Lolling and Megan Joseph with six each.

The Zion Lutheran Lady Eagles have won five games in a row and now have a record of 5-1.
