Illinois country grain prices were
sharply higher on Thursday afternoon.
Soybean futures moved up helped by
positive weekly export sales figures.
Sales this week totaled 525,000
tonnes.
In the cash markets, trading was
slow to moderate.
The cash basis at some river
terminals weakened due to slower export demand.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 12 to 15 cents higher 7.36-7.52.
Soybean bids were 34 to 44 cents
higher at 15.13-15.35.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 12 to 18 cents higher at 7.46-7.70.
Soybean bids were 36 to 38 cents
higher at 15.27-15.40.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mostly
12 to 16 cents higher at 7.29-7.73.
Soybean bids were 33 to 38 cents
higher at 15.21-15.35.
Wheat bids were 9 to 17 cents
higher at 8.32-8.59.
