Thursday night volleyball in Mount Pulaski was all about the seniors as the girls cruised to a victory over Franklin 25-14 and 25-8.

This year's group featured former Mount Pulaski Grade School Honeybears Breanna Howe, Jessica Awe, Rachel Durchholz and Erika Leever, who have played together since the fifth grade, along with former Mount Pulaski Zion Lutheran Crusader Allison Hickey.

Allison Hickey led all girls with nine kills, and teammates Rachel Durchholz and Erika Leever contributed five kills each. Setter Jessica Awe led the team with 14 assists, while Breanna Howe tallied 11 assists.

The Lady Toppers improved their record to 24-6 and will host the Topper tourney on Saturday. Regional play will begin next week.
