[October 26, 2012]  LINCOLN -- Kenneth C. Greenwood, 73, of Lincoln, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. at St. John's Hospice in Springfield.

Lincoln- Kenneth C. Greenwood, 73, of Lincoln passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at St. John's Hospice in Springfield.

Funeral Services for Mr. Greenwood will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. the Peasley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the funeral.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln.

Kenneth Charles Greenwood was born on February 12, 1939 in Mt. Olive, Illinois the son of William Gabriel and Clara Schneider Greenwood. He married Mary Forehand in Lovington, on July 29, 1962. She survives.

Also surviving are his son: William E. Greenwood of Lincoln, his daughter: Britney Greenwood of Charlotte, N.C., one granddaughter and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Director

Ken farmed in Mt. Pulaski and also worked for the State of Illinois for 37 years. He also did construction work after retirement for ten years.

He was an avid Cardinal fan and enjoyed bowling in leagues. He was a member Lincoln Eagles Lodge # 2708 and past member of the Moose Lodge where he served as Governor and called Bingo for a number of years.
