This year, Mayor Keith Snyder once again dressed as the Lincoln city fire chief. When it was noted that he had worn this costume before, he logically answered that this year he was playing a different fire chief. Indeed, the last time Snyder came as a fire chief, he was imitating former Chief Kent Hulett. This year, as his helmet clearly stated, he was playing the part of Chief Mark Miller.

Alderwoman Jonie Tibbs was also on hand for the parade, repeating her role as a very convincing clown. In addition, Alderwoman Kathy Horn was seen in the crowd.
