LCU Red Lions head to Kissimmee, Fla.

[October 31, 2012]  In their final home game of the season, the Lincoln Christian University Red Lions made quick work of Robert Morris of Peoria by winning their volleyball match 3-0.

Senior Krystine Schnautz led LCU with 10 kills while junior Hannah Taylor provided 19 assists. Sophomore Emma Donnelly recorded 18 digs.

The Red Lions were returning from the NCCAA Division II Midwest Regional, where they went 2-1. LCU defeated Great Lakes Christian College 3-0 and Moody Bible Institute 3-1. In the championship match, the Red Lions fell to Maranatha Baptist Bible College 2-3.

Upon returning to Lincoln over the weekend, LCU received the call from the NCCAA stating they received the at-large bid into the national tournament for the third consecutive year. The Red Lions have now attended the NCCAA Division II national tournament for 17 straight years.

On Nov. 8, LCU (22-12) will head to Kissimmee, Fla., where they hope to regain a spot in the final four. Last season, the Red Lions fell to Clearwater Christian College in the semifinal match.
