Thomas scores 25 to lead No. 4 Ohio State 83-71

[October 31, 2012]  COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Preseason All-America Deshaun Thomas scored 25 points to lead No. 4 Ohio State past Walsh 83-71 in an exhibition game on Tuesday night.

LaQuinton Ross, a sophomore who started his first collegiate game, added 13 points. Sam Thompson and Evan Ravenel both had 11 points for the Buckeyes, who went 31-8 last season and reached the Final Four.

Reserve Jeff Copeland scored 16 points for Division II Walsh, which was 26-5 last season. Kenny Kornowski added 12 points and Jesse Hardin had 11.

Ohio State trailed much of the first half before scoring 17 of the final 20 points to go up 39-30 at halftime.
