Lincoln College cross country results

[September 04, 2012]  BLOOMINGTON -- The Lincoln College cross country team began their season at Illinois Wesleyan this weekend. The highlight of the meet for the Lynx was Luke Padeskey (Moline) finishing in first place on the men's side with a time of 16:31 in the 5K.

Others running for the men were Albert Murrey (Durham, N.C.), fourth; Alek Stojanvic (Moline), seventh; Traxton Taylor (Marion), 13th; and Jordan Staley (Clinton Township, Mich.), 14th.

No team score was kept.

On the women's side, the Lynx were led by Hannah Singleton (South Pekin) with a two-mile time of 13:32, putting her in 16th place. Others running for the Lynx were Victoria Heller (Mapleton), 17th; Tykeshia Thompson (Akron, Ohio), 18th; Jasmine Lofton (Akron, Ohio), 23; and Rachel Whittaker (Akron, Ohio), 26th.

The Lynx will be running again Friday at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.
