Lincoln Christian University men's soccer

[September 04, 2012]  DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The Lincoln Christian University men's soccer team defeated Emmaus Bible College 7-1 in Dubuque on Saturday to bring their season record to 2-0. The Red Lions dominated the game from the opening minutes and led 3-0 at halftime.

Sophomore Logan Arney got the scoring under way for the Red Lions, and junior Craig Hoskins added two header goals off corner kicks in the first half.

The Red Lions outscored the Eagles 4-1 in the second half. Freshman Parker Radiecki scored his first two collegiate goals, while Hoskins added two more. The Red Lions spread the ball well and assisted on six of the seven goals scored. Radiecki and senior Joe Ward had two assists each, while freshman Jordan Ryherd and senior Jason DeVillez each added one.

Freshman goalkeeper Mitchel Brannock kept up his excellent play and has allowed only one goal through his first two collegiate games.

The Red Lions will travel to MacMurray College on Wednesday to take on the Highlanders.
