Lincoln Youth Football 2nd-3rd grade

[September 04, 2012]  The Lincoln Youth Football second- and third-grade White team stayed perfect with a 44-0 win over Riverton on Saturday at Eaton Fields.

Lincoln was led by quarterback Mason Farris, who threw one touchdown, rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns, ran in two extra points and threw for two extra-point conversions. Also Jaden Leadley had another big game. He had two touchdowns on 100 yards rushing, one touchdown receiving and one reception on extra point. Everett Maaks scored on a 60-yard touchdown run. Drew McCray caught one pass on an extra-point conversion.

Up front blocking for them were Aden Wurth, Kylen Baker, Ryan Odonoghue, Ashton Koontz, Andrew Cline, Tony Gandolphi, Caden Stewart and Jude Bennett.

"Without them we couldn't do what we do," said coach Steve Farris.

Defensively Lincoln was led by Gandolphi, who had eight tackles, four sacks and three fumble recoveries.

"He's a beast," the coach said.

In addition, Cline had five tackles and two sacks; Gavin Gibbons had four tackles; Maaks had three tackles; Chase McCormick added three tackles and a fumble recovery; Bryton Fuchs had three tackles; Koontz had two tackles; and Issac Decker, Blake Osborne, Conner Boyd and Bennett each had a tackle or assist.

The team will be off until an away game Sept. 10.
