[September 05, 2012]  BLOOMINGTON -- Miller Park Zoo will have adjusted hours on Saturday to accommodate its ZooDo fundraising event. The zoo will close to the general public at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The annual ZooDo fundraiser is a benefit for the Miller Park Zoological Society. ZooDo is the largest fundraising event of the year for the zoological society, and funds raised from the event will go toward the renovation of the zoo. Guests will enjoy up-close animal encounters, chats with zookeepers, a light meal, cash bar and an opportunity to bid on unique auction items.

For more information on the ZooDo event, including information on tickets, visit the Miller Park Zoological Society's website at www.mpzs.org.

Miller Park Zoo has open doors most of the time, with hours from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day but Thanksgiving and Christmas.
