After the dinner Thursday
evening, foundation chairman Tom Martin offered a few words about
the work of the foundation. He talked about projects that have
already been done and the future "to-do list" for the courthouse. He said he was not looking to Springfield for money to support
the State Historic Site, he was looking to the people of Mount Pulaski. He told the group that money wasn't the only thing
needed and encouraged anyone who had even an hour or two to
volunteer to work at the courthouse to please let a member of the
foundation board know.
The foundation treasurer also spoke briefly about funding of
projects. Then the night was turned over to the special speaker, Guy Fraker.
