Around the square Saturday morning, there were several things to do while waiting for the traditional parade that is the cornerstone of the Saturday activities at the Mount Pulaski Fall Festival.

A car show was going on; there were several food tents and other vendors ready to serve shoppers; and on the opposite side of the square was a carnival for the kids.

All of the shops on the square were open, and people were seen coming and going from all of them. Some of the shops also have tables and chairs sitting outside for folks to just sit and enjoy the day. Those seats were all taken as the 1 o'clock hour approached.
