[September 10, 2012]  PEORIA -- Lincoln was very excited to run their first Saturday meet at the First to the Finish Invitational in Peoria, where there were more than 5,000 runners. Every runner on the Lincoln High School team finished in under 25 minutes.

The LCHS girls finished in 42nd out of 46 teams. The boys finished in 43rd out of 45.

John Davis finished in 77th place out of 654 runners with a time of 16:35.

Maddy Cooper finished in 150th place out of 512 runners with a time of 21:10.

Every team member already improved their times from last Tuesday’s race at Olympia. Tiffany Strickler shaved off 9 minutes and Lexee Klockenga shaved off 6 minutes.

"Great race by all!" said LCHS coach Kaitlin Kwiatkowski. "A big thank-you to Sam Knox for getting Lincoln into this very competitive meet!"
