LCU men's and women's soccer results

[September 10, 2012]  The Lincoln Christian University men's soccer team fell to 2-2 on the season after a 3-2 loss to Grace Bible College (Grand Rapids, Mich.) in the second golden goal overtime period.

The Red Lions got off to a fast start with junior Craig Hoskins providing two first-half goals, including one in the first minute of the game. The goals came off assists from freshman Parker Radiecki and sophomore Logan Arney.

Grace settled in late in the first half before dominating the ball possession in the second half and outshooting LCU by a large margin.

The loss puts LCU at 0-1 in the Midwest Region of the NCCAA Division II.

The Red Lions will travel to Eureka on Wednesday to take on the Eureka College Red Devils at 4 p.m.

The Lincoln Christian University women's soccer team earned their second victory of the season Saturday on LCU's campus. The Red Lions defeated Faith Baptist Bible College of Ankeny, Iowa, 3-1.

The LCU defense limited Faith to zero shots on goal in the first half before surrendering the shutout in the second.

LCU received two goals from Moriah Kirkpatrick and one from Alison DeLong. Jessica Hoskins was credited for all three assists in the game.

The Red Lions will travel to Eureka on Wednesday to take on Eureka College at 2 p.m.
