'Thunder' and 'Lightning' strike again

[September 10, 2012]  "Thunder" and "Lightning" struck again as the Lincoln Youth Football fourth-grade team defeated Chatham again on Saturday at Eaton Fields. The score was 38-0.

In another impressive show of power and speed, Seth Tungate (Lightning) had 110 total yards and two touchdowns, also returning a punt for 55 yards. Stephen Gleason (Thunder) had 90 yards rushing and one touchdown. Drew (the Energizer Bunny) Singleton had a 40-yard touchdown run. Quarterback Griff Bossingham had 80 yards passing and one touchdown.

Lincoln was led on defense by Trent Butterfield with five tackles and Gleason with eight tackles. Gleason also returned an interception for a 55-yard touchdown. Cade Tanner had two tackles and two sacks, and Nolan Yates had three tackles and one sack.

Lincoln is now 5-0.

Lincoln will host Jacksonville next Saturday at noon at beautiful Eaton Fields.
