Saturday was a perfect day to spend outside. The sky was a brilliant blue, with cotton ball clouds adding a random polka dot to the picture. The air was cool but the sun was shining, and everywhere you looked in Mount Pulaski, there were happy faces, embracing the day and enjoying the 120th annual Mount Pulaski Fall Festival.

Early in the day there was a baking contest that featured some lovely pies, cupcakes and cookies. After the winners were named, those in the audience could donate $1 and take a snack from the wide selection.
