[September 14, 2012]  EUREKA -- The Lincoln Christian University men's soccer team took a 5-1 loss against Eureka College on Wednesday afternoon.

The Red Devils of Eureka controlled the pace of the game after having 16 shots on goal, compared with three shots by LCU.

Freshman Johnny Williamson provided hope for the Red Lions when he put LCU on the board late in the first half to make the score 2-1. The pace of Eureka was too much to handle as they answered minutes later.

Freshman goalkeeper Mitchel Brannock was busy as he recorded 12 saves during the match.

LCU (2-3) will look to even up their record when they take on Saint Louis Christian College today (Friday) at 4 p.m. on the LCU campus.
