LCU volleyball tops RMU

[September 15, 2012]  PEORIA -- The Lincoln Christian University women's volleyball team had no trouble handing Robert Morris University in Peoria the loss on Wednesday night. Outside hitters Krystine Schnautz and Alicia Carson helped the Red Lions coast to a 3-1 victory.

After losing the first set 25-23, LCU regained form and shut down Robert Morris 25-16, 25-17 and 25-16.

Sophomore Emma Donnelly provided a season-high 39 digs in the four sets. Schnautz led the Red Lions with 14 kills, while freshman Taylor Cremeens set the Red Lions up with 23 assists.

The Red Lions (6-4) will travel to play Indiana Northwest in Gary, Ind., at 3 p.m. Saturday.
