LC cross country results

[September 17, 2012]  BLOOMINGTON -- The Lincoln College cross country team competed Friday at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships hosted by ISU. Over 40 teams were represented at this meet. The LC men's team placed 11th in the college division and first among two-year programs. The women's team placed 19th in the college division and sixth among two-year programs.

The Lincoln men's team was led by Albert Murrey. He placed 59th with a time of 26:15 for the five-mile course. Others running in the top five for the LC men were Luke Padeskey, 74th; Alek Stojanvic, 109th; Jordan Staley, 111th; and Taylor Singleton, 147th.

The Lincoln women's team was led again by Hannah Singleton. She ran the 3.1-mile course in 20:11 and placed 78th. Others running in the top five for the LC ladies were Victoria Heller, 104th; Tykeshia Thompson, 161st; Rachel Whittaker, 174th; and Kayla Carrel, 197th.

The team will be action again this week on Friday.
