LCU women's volleyball has perfect weekend

[September 18, 2012]  GARY, Ind. -- The Lincoln Christian University women's volleyball team swept both Indiana University Northwest (3-0) and Mount Mary College (3-0) on Saturday. Led by outside hitters Alicia Carson and Krystine Schnautz, the Red Lions showed why they will be tough to beat come the postseason.

Carson and Schnautz led the Red Lions in kills in each of the two games on Saturday. Sophomore Emma Donnelly combined for a total of 43 digs to lead LCU defensively.

The Red Lions are currently ranked No. 9 in the NCCAA Division II with hopes of moving up after winning four straight matches in the last week. Schnautz is ranked No. 2 in kills per game, while Donnelly is ranked No. 1 in digs per game.

The Red Lions will square off against Greenville College on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Greenville.
