[September 17, 2012]  Visual arts by local artists were offered during a showing and auction at the Lincoln Art Institute and Think Tank on McLean Street on Saturday afternoon. Several of the artists were on hand to discuss their works or just visit with those interested. Displayed were paintings and sculptures in multiple mediums, and photos.

Gallery owner Tobey Prang was excited to share that a show has been scheduled featuring sculptor Jason Hoffman. This is an artist whose passionate works created a stir when on display in a fire truck bay at Lincoln City Hall last year.

Hoffman's "Healing" series will be presented on the evening of Sept. 29.

Hoffman said the gallery would afford space that he does not have at his location and would be a great setting. He is looking forward to seeing "Healing" arranged and displayed all together for the first time. He and Prang hope there will be many who will come out to see "Healing" with them, talk art and enjoy a pleasant evening at the gallery.
