Lincoln 2nd/3rd White Saturday game results

[September 19, 2012]  The Lincoln Youth Football second- and third-grade White team defeated Athens 8-6 Saturday at Eaton Fields.

Lincoln won when Jaden Leadley scored on a 40-yard touchdown run, and Mason Farris completed the 2-point conversion with a sweet pass that was caught by Drew McCray.

Upfront leading the way were Aiden Wurth, Ryan O'Donoghue, Ashton Koontz, Kylen Baker, Andrew Cline and Garrett Hopkins.

Defensively, Tony "the Tiger" Gandolphi had seven tackles and four sacks.

"He is a beast and a fun kid to watch because he doesn't take a play off," said Lincoln coach Steve Farris.

Cline made three tackles and a sack, Bryton Fuchs two tackles and two sacks, Chase McCormick two tackles and one sack, and Jude Bennett and Gavin Gibbons each had two tackles.

The team now holds an undefeated record of 4-0.

Lincoln will play Williamsville next on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Eaton Fields.
