[September 19, 2012]  The Lincoln Youth Football fourth-grade team kept its perfect record Saturday in winning 25-0 versus Jacksonville at Eaton Fields.

"Lincoln was led by none other than 'Lightning' himself -- you guessed it -- Seth 'Lightning' Tungate," said coach Steve Farris.

Tungate had 100 yards of rushing and one touchdown. He also had two touchdowns receiving. Griff "Chicken Little" Bossingham had 80 yards passing and two touchdowns. Dylan Singleton had a rushing touchdown as well.

"It was lightning all day for the offense, but on defense thunder struck in the form of Stephen 'Thunder' Gleason, who led Lincoln with 10 tackles and two sacks, as well as a fumble recovery… not a bad day," Farris added.

Ethan Trimpe had five tackles, Cade Tanner three tackles, and Nolan Yates had two tackles and two fumble recoveries. Carson Bonaparte and Daniel Siebert had two tackles.

Lincoln has now outscored the opponents 186-19 in six games and maintains a perfect record at 6-0.

"Very impressive, boys. Keep up the hard work!" said Farris.
