LYF 2nd/3rd-grade White stays perfect, beating Rochester 35-0

[September 24, 2012]  RIVERTON -- The Lincoln Youth Football second- and third-grade White team stayed perfect, beating Rochester 35-0 Saturday in Riverton.

They are now 6-0 and will play Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. at Eaton Fields for the bowl championship versus Jacksonville. They are looking to become the first undefeated team in the history of second- and third-grade Lincoln Youth Football.

Saturday they were led by Mason Farris, who had 80 yards rushing, 90 passing and two touchdowns. Jaden Leadley had 90 yards rushing, 90 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Gavin Gibbons scored his first touchdown of the year on 40 yards rushing.

On defense Lincoln never gave up a first down. Lincoln was led by Chase McCormick with four tackles and one sack, Andrew Cline with three tackles and two sacks, Tony Gandolphi with three tackles and a sack, and Bryton Fuchs with three tackles. Ryan O'Donoghue, Kylen Baker, Leadley and Gibbons each had two tackles, and Aiden Wurth, Connor Boyd and Issac Decker each made one tackle.
