ATLANTA -- Derald L. Reinhart, 83, of
rural Atlanta, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at 10:10 p.m. at
Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Waynesville -- Derald L. Reinhart, 83, of
Waynesville, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Sunday,
September 23, 2012 at Blessing Hospital while
residing at the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy.
Derald had been fighting a long battle with
Parkinson’s disease.
Funeral Services for Derald will be held on Friday,
September 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Waynesville
United Methodist Church with Rev. Becky Barrow
officiating.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00
p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the
Waynesville United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville.
Derald Lee Reinhart was born March 29, 1929, in
Lincoln, the son of Edward Lee and Ethel Caroline
Klemm Reinhart. He married Doris E. Kindred on
November 16, 1952. They would have celebrated their
60th wedding anniversary this fall.
Surviving are his wife, Doris; his children: Connie
(Jeff) Starkey of Beardstown, Roger (Nancy) Reinhart
of Waynesville and Bradley (Jeanmarie) Reinhart of
Newell, SD; seven grandchildren: Marlana (Neal)
Coulter, Nathan (Nicole) Reinhart, Matt (Kristy
Probyn) Reinhart, Katie (Mark) Hobrock, Nicholas
(Audra) Reinhart, Tyler Starkey and Clay Starkey;
five great-grandchildren: Lakin and Gage Hobrock,
Wyatt Reinhart, Zeb Coulter and Eliza Reinhart; and
several step-grandchildren. Derald is also survived
by his siblings: Wanda (Bob) Billiter of Atlanta,
Beverly (Dean) Shull of Morton and Larry (Ruth)
Reinhart of Bloomington; and many nieces and
nephews.

He was preceded in death by one grandson.
Derald’s childhood was spent in the Waynesville
area, attending Maple Grove School and graduating
from Waynesville High School in 1947. He entered the
United States Army in 1950, serving during the
Korean Conflict. Derald was baptized and married at
the Waynesville United Methodist Church. He was a
dedicated grain and livestock farmer. He was also
active in the Waynesville American Legion and the
Boy Scouts and served as a Boy Scout Leader.
Memorials may be made to the Waynesville United
Methodist Church or the Waynesville American Legion.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home in Atlanta.
