[September 27, 2012]  TAYLORVILLE -- The LCHS boys soccer team defeated Taylorville 6-0 Tuesday night, to up their record to 7-6 and even their CS8 record at 3-3.

The Lincoln team dominated Taylorville from start to finish but had trouble finding the net, as they only had two first-half goals but had dinged the ball off the goalpost six times. In the second half, scoring improved.

In the end, Tommy Harris and Ryan Sloan each finished with two goals, and Kyle Klockenga and Aaron Becker each added a goal.

Hank Freed and Klockenga assisted Harris for his goals, and all other goals were assisted by Harris. With his four assists, Tommy Harris broke the career assists record formerly held by George Kennett, who had 17. Harris now has 21 career assists and counting.
