[April 12, 2013]  ARMINGTON -- Shirley A. Dunshee, 78, of Armington, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.

Armington- Shirley A. Dunshee, 78, of Armington passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Dunshee will be held on Monday, at 10:30 a.m. at the Armington Christian Church, 202 S. Monroe Street, with Mr. Ed Loyd officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service on Monday at the church.

Burial will be in Orendorff Cemetery in Hopedale.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.

Shirley Ann Mobley was born on August 26, 1934 at rural Minier, the daughter of Thomas and Ova Mae Greathouse Mobley. She first married Everett Coggins. She later married Donald Dunshee on December 28, 1991 in Armington. He survives.

Also surviving are her children: Cindy (Duane Appenzeller) Coggins, Janice (Dennis) Martin, Carla Coggins, Penny (Kevin) Wiemer, stepson Clem (Dawn) Gibson, grandchildren: Stephanie (Sam), Dustin, Josh Schmidgall, Stacie Myers, Nicole, Joe, Jim Watts, Kayla and Kollins Wiemer, Cory, Derrick, Jake Martin, nineteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Leo, Ralph, Gene and Carl, two sisters: Mary Taylor and Dorothy Hymbaugh.

Shirley graduated from the Hopedale High School in 1952.

She was a member of the Hopedale Presbyterian Church, American Legion Auxiliary in Delavan, VFW Auxiliary in Peoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Armington Rescue Squad or Advocate BroMenn Hospice.
