[April 15, 2013]  A community event is planned in support of a local family who recently suffered the loss of their infant son, Christian, due to a severe heart condition.

Christian Adubato's short life greatly affected his family and community. The medical advances and discoveries made through his life will also affect many children to come. "Christian's Hope and Healing" is an event to honor his life and his family.

A homemade spaghetti dinner will be served Friday, April 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Jefferson Street Christian Church. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and a $30 maximum for each immediate household. Takeout will be available.

There will also be a silent auction. Over 30 local businesses and individuals have made contributions to the event. Items available in the auction are everything from golf packages to spa packages to dance classes to photography sessions.

Additional funding will be provided by Thrivent Financial.
