Josef Bosnyak is the Mount Pulaski High School Senior-of-the-Month

[April 23, 2013]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Josef Bosnyak has been named April Senior-of-the-Month at Mount Pulaski High School. Josef is the son of Diana Murphy of Mount Pulaski and Josef Bosnyak of Decatur.

Josef was involved in Drama Club for three years as the technical light and sound manager. He also participated in Spirit Squad and Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering. He served on the prom committee and was elected to the homecoming court. Josef is an honor roll student and is volunteering as an office helper. He is also a talented artist and has won awards for his work.

In the community he is a Life Scout in Boy Scout Troop 122 and is working toward Eagle Scout.

Josef plans to attend Lincoln Land Community College, followed by the University of Illinois at Springfield. His long-range plans include attending the College of Optometry at the University of Missouri--St. Louis.

The Senior-of-the-Month program is co-sponsored by Johnson's Food Center and Mount Pulaski Pharmacy. Monthly winners receive $50 toward educational expenses and are eligible to compete for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award.
