[August 06, 2013]  SPRINGFIELD -- The Illinois State Fair offers more than 2,000 competitions, is home to hundreds of food vendors, and hosts numerous musical and specialty acts. The sheer volume of activities may seem a bit overwhelming to fairgoers, but they shouldn't fear because the Illinois State Fair has created an app to help them.

The Illinois State Fair's mobile website is a personal guide to everything that is happening at the fair. Fairgoers can view contest results, find their favorite vendor, find where their favorite band is playing and much more.

"We are so excited about the mobile app this year," said Amy Bliefnick, state fair manager. "The mobile app will enable our fairgoers to navigate their way around the fairgrounds and find their favorite attractions and food."

In addition to the mobile app, the fair also has upgraded and improved its webcams.

To find the mobile website, simply type ISFmobile.info into a smartphone browser.

The 2013 Illinois State Fair runs Aug. 8-18.
