[August 20, 2013]  McLEAN -- Sugar Grove Nature Center will host a "Sounds of the Night" program Sept. 6, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with a campfire and s'mores.

Families are invited to come out for an evening of fun learning all about sounds of the night. From rustling leaves to the chirp of an insect or the hoot of an owl, the group will learn what to listen for, then head out to hear for themselves. The evening will end at the campfire with s'mores and lemonade.

The event is free for members of the nature center and $5 per person for nonmembers. For more information or to register, call 309-874-2174 or email register@sugargrovenaturecenter.org.

Sugar Grove Nature Center is in historic Funks Grove, just south of Bloomington-Normal, off Old Route 66. For a map and directions, membership and program information, visit www.sugargrovenaturecenter.org.
