Friday evening could not have
been a more perfect evening at the Logan County Airport. The
first launch of balloons for the weekend went off without a hitch,
much to the delight of hundreds of spectators who have waited all
year for one of their favorite Logan County activities to return.
As the balloons took to the
skies, they headed west into the sunset and then almost appeared to
stall in midair. The result was that in the end nearly
every balloon was visible in the sky in silhouette.
