On Friday afternoon a second ribbon-cutting for the 40th annual Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival took place on Wyatt Avenue, just prior to the annual pilots parade.

As the parade participants lined up, there were some very important figures at the beginning of the lineup. Among them were Jim and Nancy Ireland, who were this year's grand marshals. 2013 Logan County Fair Queen Crystal Quint and Little Miss Celia Cross were on hand, and Lincoln/Logan Chamber of Commerce director Andi Hake and her staff were also among those taking the lead on the parade.

Also very important to the parade were the entries, which included the pilots of the balloons that will participate in this weekend's activities at the airport.

The parade began on Wyatt and wound its way through the downtown area, then went north on Kickapoo to the airport.
