It was a perfect weekend for
art in the park at the 40th annual Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival.
On Saturday a crowd flocked into
Latham Park to get a peek at what is new this year from some of
their favorite artists.
This year those in attendance
had so much to choose from, including works by several new artists,
that it had to have been a difficult decision on what to buy.
Hopefully many of them had so much trouble choosing that they bought
more than a few pieces.
At the end of the day, the
winners of the 2013 art show were announced. Those winners
were called one at a time to the bandstand at the center of the park,
where they were presented with their awards by art show coordinator Sonnie Alexander.
