LC volleyball vs. Illinois Valley CC

[August 29, 2013]  OGLESBY -- Lincoln College (0-5) traveled to play a match at Illinois Valley Community College on Tuesday and came away with a loss in four sets: 15-25, 25-18, 17-25, 9-25.

LC individual stats:

• Latasha Fizer, 7 kills

• Morgan Lesher, 7 kills

• Jenna Harcharik, 4 kills

• Taylor Hewitt, 19 digs

• Jordan Michaels, 9 set assists

• Jessa Coker, 13 set assists

"We did not play very well in any aspect of the game tonight," said LC coach Mark Tippett. "It was a sloppy match for both teams, but we just played a little bit sloppier than they did. We need to improve our passing off of serve receive and cut down on our own service errors. These are problems typical of young teams, and I am confident we will raise our level of play soon."

Lincoln plays on Thursday evening at Carl Sandburg College.
