Jordan Luczaj is the Mount Pulaski Senior-of-the-Month

[December 02, 2013]  MOUNT PULASKI — Jordan Luczaj, son of Shelly and Matt Pearson of Mount Pulaski and Jim and Rebecca Luczaj of Waukesha, Wis., has been named November Senior-of-the-Month at Mount Pulaski High School. He was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service and character.

Academically, Jordan is one of the top students in the Class of 2014 at Mount Pulaski High School. He is a two-year member of the National Honor Society and has served as co-president and co-vice president. He also participates in Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering. He attended the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C., in July 2013 and plan to attend the Global Young Leaders Conference in July 2014 in Washington, D.C., and New York.

At Mount Pulaski High School, Jordan is a member of the student council. He has participated in Spanish Club for four years and in the MPHS Spirit Squad for two years. He is also a four-year member of the basketball team, co-captain for two years, and a four-year member of the baseball team. He is a three-year member of FCCLA and has served as chapter vice president and section vice president. He attended the FCCLA nationals in Nashville, Tenn., and received a gold medal at nationals.

Jordan plans to attend Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. He plans to go on to law school and obtain a law degree, practice law, and eventually become a sports agent.

The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Johnson's Food Center and Mount Pulaski Pharmacy. Monthly award winners receive a $50 award paid to the college they plan to attend and compete for the Senior-of-the-Year honor in May.
