The tournament allows regional opponents to meet at a single
location and play at least two games toward their regional record.
The regional record is then used to determine seeding for the NCCAA
regional championship tournament at the end of the season. Six teams
will meet at the Laughlin Center this weekend for a chance to
improve their seeding: Grace Bible College, Kuyper College, Lincoln
Christian University, Maranatha Baptist Bible College, Moody Bible
Institute and Northland International University.
The LCU Red Lions are looking forward to the opportunity.
"I'm really excited about how our team is progressing this year,"
said head coach Amanda Bowman, "We are returning our two leading
scorers from last year, along with two other starters. Freshmen
newcomers will add talent to the returners from last season."
In addition, the 12-member Red Lions team will showcase the size
and athleticism of several players who are also volleyball team
members and competed in the NCCAA Division II National Volleyball
Tournament last month.

"Once we are able to get some time in the gym and build our
chemistry, we should be a contender for the NCCAA Midwest Regional
championship," Bowman added.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information,
