___

Dora Jean Donath, 84, passed away at 4:39 p.m. on December 17, 2013 at her home in Lincoln.

She was born on November 27, 1929 in Curran, IL the daughter of Lester N. and Bessie M. (Stephens) Palmer. She married Paul L. Donath on October 18, 1948 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2012.

Dora was a hard working, devoted mom who always put the needs of her family before her own. She had a special love for each of her children and grandchildren, and was always there to lend a helping hand wherever needed. She was our "angel" here on earth. We were all blessed to have her with us for so many years, and we will miss her deeply.

She retired from District 27 after working as a cook for 10 years. She was a den mother, a 4-H leader, and a past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She liked to knit, crochet, and paint.
