DECEMBER 16

PRE-LIT CHRISTMAS TREES 

Seasonal Specialties is recalling Pre-lit artificial Christmas trees sold exclusively at Menards stores nationwide from September 2013 to November 2013. The electrical components of the tree's light strings can overheat and melt, posing fire, burn, and shock hazards. 

This recall involves the Twinkling Pine pre-lit artificial Christmas trees sold under the Enchanted Forrest brand. The recalled model number 287-1261 and UPC code 741895425478 are printed on the retail box and on a red tag attached to a tree branch.  

Consumers should return the tree to Menards for a refund.

AEROSOL CLEANER 

Wahl is recalling Total Care, Aerosol Cleaner, Lubricant & Coolant sold nationwide from June 2009 to October 2013. Vapors from the propellant in the Total Care product can ignite upon contact with hair clippers, posing a burn hazard. 

This recall involves Wahl Total Care products used to clean and lubricate hair clippers, trimmers and shavers. The white label on the can reads "Wahl Total Care" and "Clipper, Trimmer, Shaver." Model number 03772 is printed on the back of the can.

FAUX LEATHER JACKETS 

Mirage Fashions is recalling Yoki Girl's Faux Leather Jackets sold exclusively at Burlington Coat Factory stores nationwide from January 2012 to August 2013. The jackets have a drawstring through the hood which can pose a strangulation hazard. 

This recall involves girl's hooded faux leather jackets with a zipper front closure and bearing a Yoki Girls label at the neck. Style number JK2503G is on the product care label located on the lower left inside seam.  

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstrings or return the garment to Mirage Fashions for a full refund.

DECEMBER 17

CHROMEBOOK CHARGERS 

Google and HP are recalling HP Chromebook 11 power supply/charger sold nationwide from October 2013 to November 2013. The computer's charger can overheat and melt, posing fire and burn hazards. 

This recall involves chargers that were sold with the HP Chromebook 11. The model number of the charger is MU15-N1052-A00S, which is stamped on the face of the battery charger that has the outlet pins.

MOUNTAIN BIKE FORKS 

Fox Factory is recalling Evolution 2013 Mountain Bike Suspension Forks sold nationwide and in Canada from August 2012 to October 2013.The suspension fork's damper cylinder/piston can separate and cause the front wheel to detach, posing a fall hazard. 

The recalled suspension forks are model year 2013, 32 and 34 Evolution Series with 120mm to 160mm of travel. The Evolution name and logo are on a sticker on the front fork with the FOX brand name logo.  A complete list can be found at www.recalls.org

Consumers should bring the bicycles to the place of purchase for a free repair.

COCKTAIL GLASSES 

Libbey Glass is recalling Bristol Valley Cocktail Glasses with Sheer Rim sold nationwide from January 2013 to November 2013. The glasses can break unexpectedly, posing a laceration hazard. 

This recall involves Bristol Valley, model 8555SR, cocktail glasses with sheer rims. The glasses are made of clear, colorless glass in a 7.75 ounce cocktail design with a thin rim. 

Consumers should return the glasses to the store where purchased for a refund.

CHILDREN'S EATING UTENSILS 

Cubetensils is recalling Children's spoon and fork sets sold nationwide from May 2012 to November 2013. The utensil's handle can detach, posing a choking hazard. 

This recall involves Edoche's Cubetensils sets of children's eating utensils. "Edoche" is printed on the bottom of the utensils and "Stainless Steel China" is embossed on the metal heads.

INFANT CARRIERS 

Playtex is recalling Playtex Hip Hammock infant carriers sold nationwide and in Canada from June 2004 to December 2008 and January 2010. The buckles on the waist and shoulder straps can crack or break, posing a fall hazard. 

The Playtex Hip Hammock is an infant carrier designed to strap the baby against the caregiver's body at the hip.  "Playtex Hip Hammock" is printed on a label sewn into the front of the carrier.  All model numbers are being recalled.  Model numbers 05300, 05301, 05302, 05306, 05307 and 05308 are sewn into the inside panel below the instructions for use.

HOODED SWEATSHIRTS 

Browning is recalling Browning Youth Buckmark Junior Hoodie Sweatshirts sold exclusively at Academy Sports + Outdoors stores nationwide from August 2012 to October 2013. The hooded sweatshirts have drawstrings around the neck area that pose a strangulation or an entanglement hazard. 

This recall includes hooded Buckmark junior sweatshirts in sizes S, M, L and XL. The camouflaged print pullover sweatshirt comes with black drawstrings and has a yellow embroidered Buckmark logo located on the front of the garment. SKU numbers can be found at www.recalls.org

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstrings or return the garment to Browning for a full refund.

WORK BOOTS 

Red Wing Shoes is recalling Steel toe work boots sold nationwide and in Canada from October 2012 to November 2013. The steel toe cap in the boots could fail to protect the wearer's feet in an impact. 

This recall involves 45 styles of Red Wing men's steel toe work boots in sizes 11 to 18 and widths ranging from B to H depending on the size and style.  Style numbers can be found at www.recalls.org

Consumers should the boots to a Red Wing store/dealer or contact Red Wing Shoes for a free replacement pair of boots.

CANDLE RING 

Yankee Candle is recalling Candle Ring — Pine Berry sold nationwide and in Canada from September 2013 to October 2013. The candle rings' synthetic foliage and berries are flammable, posing a fire hazard. 

The recalled decorative pine berry candle ring goes around the base of a candle and is made of synthetic green foliage with synthetic red berries and pinecones. Candle rings with UPC number 8 86860 02558 8 or 8 86860 06357 3 on a tag attached to the underside of the ring are included in the recall. 

Consumers should return the candle ring to the nearest Yankee Candle store for a refund or call The Yankee Candle Company at (877) 417-2230 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online at www.Yankeecandle.com for instructions on obtaining a full refund. More info at www.recalls.org.
