Mt Pulaski- Juanita Frances Erlenbush, 93, passed away at 2:50 P.M. on December 22, 2013 at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Juanita was born on June 16, 1920 in Effingham, IL; daughter of Ferdinand and Alice Drake Wiebking. She married Dallas Erlenbush on December 25, 1943 in Springfield; he preceded her in death on June 11, 1976.

Juanita lived a fulfilling life. She worked at the Illiopolis defense plant during World War II while taking care of her parents. Following that, she and Dallas farmed for over 40 years until his death. She continued to have an active interest in the farm. Juanita also worked at the Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski as a cook for thirteen years.

She had the pioneer spirit growing up and living on the farm. She was always willing to offer a helping hand to those in need. Juanita enjoyed being around her family, especially her grandsons. She loved to tell stories and was a great cook as her grandsons will attest. Juanita will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

Surviving Juanita is one son: Bill (Suzann) Erlenbush of Bloomington, IL; one daughter Sandy (Scot) Remmert of Mt Pulaski, IL; three grandsons: Sean (Melissa) Remmert of Mt Pulaski, Shane (Leighann) Remmert of Williamsville, and Robb Erlenbush of Bloomington; three great-grandchildren: Colin, Caitlin, and Olivia Remmert. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson Seth Remmert, and ten siblings: Osco, Walter, Everett (Jim), Virgil, Howard, Vern, Alanzo, Lucile Woodrum, John, and Ferdinand.

Services for Juanita will be 11:00 A.M. Friday December 27, 2013 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt Pulaski with John Cotton officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 -11:00 A.M. Friday December 27, 2013 an hour and half prior to service. Burial at Mt Pulaski Cemetery will follow the service. Memorials may be given to Vonderlieth Living Center or Mt Pulaski EMS.
