HARTSBURG-Misty Dawn Johnson, 35, of Hartsburg, IL died as a result of an auto accident in the 2100 block of 600th Ave., Hartsburg, at 10:58 p.m. December 24, 2013.

Misty was born August 26, 1978 in Lincoln, IL the daughter of William "Bill" and LaDonna Shull Hilgendorf. She married Wayne E. Johnson May 20, 2012 in Logan County.

Misty is survived by her husband, father: William "Bill" (Debbie) Hilgendorf of Broadwell; her mother: LaDonna Purdue of New Holland, a son: Skylar Hashman of Lincoln; a daughter Tyler Scott of Hartsburg; one brother: Nathan Hilgendorf of Hanover Park, IL; and a half sister: Emily Hilgendorf of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her paternal great grandmother and paternal grandmother.

Misty worked as a nurse at Symphony of Lincoln, formerly Maple Ridge. She loved being a nurse and considered her patients as her family. She was a member of the Broadwell Christian Church and she was a big time bowler.

Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. Services for Misty will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the funeral home with Darrin Palmer officiating. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family.
