Benefit brunch Sunday for 7-year-old Michael Stauffer

[February 02, 2013]  CHESTNUT -- The Chestnut Family Restaurant will host a benefit brunch Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with proceeds to go to the family of Michael Stauffer.

Michael is a 7-year-old first-grade student at Zion Lutheran School in Mount Pulaski. He is the son of Dave and Cynthia Stauffer and brother to 13-year-old Alyssa and 10-year-old Thomas.

Michael was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. Proceeds from the brunch will go to the family, to assist in medical costs and other expenses.

On the menu Sunday will be fried chicken with all the fixin's, scrambled eggs, egg casserole, fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bacon, sausage, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, orange juice, and milk.
