After lunch there was a lovely cake to commemorate the day.

Tipton took the cake around the room for everyone to see.

When everyone had seen the cake, it was then cut and served with ice cream and punch.

Katie Dobey was feeling a little under the weather, so she didn't come for lunch. However, she did stop in to enjoy a piece of cake. When asked if she was still a Cubbie fan, she assured everyone she was. She also broke into a chorus of 'Take me out to the ballgame," one of her favorite songs.

Activity assistant Cindy Johnson shared some trivia from the years the four ladies were born. Everyone got a chuckle out of hearing that stamps were 2 cents, gas 9 cents, and a steak could be purchased for 29 cents a pound.

At the end of the hour, Tipton said she thought it was really important to celebrate the lives of these ladies and anyone else who has reached this age.  She said the tradition that began last year will continue for years to come at St. Clara's.
